Ethos & Company is a boutique, Malaysian-led management consulting firm, specialising in corporate strategy, corporate transformation and public policy. Ethos has worked on some of the most challenging business issues for Government Linked Companies, Multinationals and Government, including reviewing the implementation of affirmative action policies, developing the international growth strategy for the largest global plantations company, and conducting a feasibility study for a large regional insurance player to enter into the Malaysian market. Founded by 3 former McKinsey & Company senior consultants in 2002, Ethos has grown to a firm with over 25 consultants and collaborative alliances with regional and global consulting firms.
Our recent engagements
As Malaysia's leading boutique strategy firm, we have worked on some of the most important - and challenging issues across the private and public sectors. Our recent mandates include:
* Designing the Growth Strategy for a Large Agriculture Conglomerate to develop the approach for growth (organic, M&As, alliances), involving close to RM10 billion in investments * Executing a Large-scale Continuous Improvement Programme to help transform performance for one of Southeast Asia's largest airport operators, delivering RM70 million in annual bottom line impact * Conducting an Independent Review of the economic and financial impact of the alternative off-take options for the Bakun Hydroelectric Dam project
* Conducting due diligence, valuation and deal structuring; as well as business plan development for the proposed joint venture between Malaysia's largest plantations company and a leading Indonesian conglomerate
* Reviewing the state of the Malaysian auto industry and developing strategic recommendations to achieve sustainability and competitiveness
* Facilitating NKRA Corruption Lab and developing KPIs and initiatives to be delivered to combat corruption
Career Opportunities at Ethos Graduates typically join the firm as entry-level Associates, where they would be deployed to work on client-facing projects under the guidance of an engagement manager and more senior members of the firm. There is a structured internal training programme to help our consultants meet their training needs at each level of their career. Promotion and career development are based on actual demonstrated performance, benchmarked against transparent criteria and are not seniority or time driven.
